The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Overall with some minor scratches consistent with age and use, some wear to the flat chased decoration, some areas of excess solder around the feet and the screws connecting the base to the body, as mentioned the blue velvet cushion later and with some minor fading, the underside in blue shagreen, with some large areas lacking and overall with some cracking and drying, when cushion removed the underside with some traces of gilding, marks clear, generally good condition.
