The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Solidly constructed, the piece can be used in this condition without further intervention.
There are the inevitable dents, marks, scratches and shrinkage cracks due to age and use. One hinge has also been replaced. The windows were probably originally fitted with wire mesh. The spandrels have also been replaced. The base was modified in the 19th century. The bottom has been partly rebuilt for consolidation.
