The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Marks clear to legible: town mark clear; maker's mark partially legible.
Bruises to the foot-rim which does not affect stability of the piece, with small corresponding rip.
Some light surface scratching consistent with age and use; some light tarnish marks. Solder repair at junction of both terminals of the handle with spot re-gilding. The bolt hidden and soldered onto the circular panel in cover. Wear to the gilding on ball finial. Good gauge.
