Le tableau se présente dans un assez bon état de conservation général.
La toile a été marouflée sur un panneau plus récent, lui même recouvert de toile.
A l'oeil nu, on constate des coulures de vernis au niveau du dossier du siège.
A l’UV, le tableau est sous un vernis uniforme un peu épais. On constate des restaurations récentes dans le visage de la petite fille de droite au niveau de son oreille et de sa joue gauche, ainsi que dans le visage de la petite fille de gauche au niveau de sa bouche et du noeud de sa robe.
Dans un cadre de travail moderne de style XVIIIe.

The painting is in a fairly good overall condition.
It has been laid down to a more recent panel, covered by a canvas, correspondingly the paint surface has been marginally flattened.
Varnish stains can be seen to the naked eye on the upper part of the seat.
Under UV, the painting has a coat of slightly thick, uniform varnish. Recent retouches are visible in the face of the little girl on the right at the level of her ear and her left cheek, as well as in the face of the little girl on the left at the level of her mouth and the bow of her dress.
