Le tableau a fait l'objet d'un rentoilage probablement réalisé dans la première moitié du XXe siècle, voire même avant. Cela a pu tasser par endroits la matière picturale. La matière est stable actuellement.
A l'oeil nu, on constate une restauration vers le bord supérieur gauche. Il est sous un vernis fin et propre.
A l'UV, on constate la restauration précédemment citée qui court sur tout le long du bord gauche. On constate d'anciennes retouches dans le ciel. Le tableau a été partiellement déverni, les zones brunes et plus foncées sont encore sous un vernis ancien.
Dans un cadre de style Régence en bois et stuc doré (approx. 69 x 81 cm.).
La lettre d'amour
Le tableau a fait l'objet d'un rentoilage probablement réalisé dans la première moitié du XXe siècle, voire même avant. Cela a pu tasser par endroits la matière picturale. La matière est stable actuellement.
A l'oeil nu, on ne constate pas de repeints anciens ayant viré.
A l'UV, on constate une petite restauration dans le visage du personnage en bleu ainsi que des restaurations ponctuelles dans sa robe. On constate une restauration le long du bord inférieur. Sous un vernis vert uniforme.
Dans un cadre de style Régence en bois et stuc doré (approx. 69 x 81 cm.).

Shepherd couple with a bird cage
The painting has been relined, probably during the first half of the 20th century, perhaps even before. This could have caused the shrinking of the painted surface in serval places. The material is currently stable.
There is a restoration towards the upper left side of the composition visible to the naked eye. The painting is under a thin, clean varnish.
The aforementioned restoration, which runs from the along the left edge of the composition, appears under UV light. There are previous restorations to the sky. The painting has been partially stripped of its varnish, but the brown areas and the darkest areas are still under an old varnish.
In a French Regency-style gilt wood and stucco frame (approx. 69 x 81 cm.).
The love letter
The painting has been relined, probably during the first half of the 20th century, perhaps even before. This could have caused the shrinking of the painted surface in serval places. The material is currently stable.
There are no previous restorations visible to the naked eye.
There is a small restoration in the face of the figure in blue, as well as scattered restorations in her dress, visible under UV light. There is a restoration runnign along the lower edge of the composition. Under a uniform green varnish.
