The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

For both cupboards :
Structurally sound.
There are the inevitable minor dents, marks, scratches, shrinkage cracks and rubbing consistent with age and use.
Ormolu mount : The upper cornice, the consoles, all the small rosettes are 19th century and associated.
The larger oval rosettes on the lower part, the frame of the lower part, the key hole and locker are 18th century.
Cupboard 1:
Veneer :There are vertical shrinkage cracks to both lateral panels (approx. 55,5 cm. and approx. 182 cm.) There is a vertical shrinkage crack to the both front doors (approx. 30 cm. and 22 cm.)
There are some lifting to the veneer, especially to the top of the left door.
There are some visible water stains especially to the both lateral panels.
There are two losses to the lower part of the lateral left panel.
Ormolu : with some signs of tarnishing especially to the flower mount. There are some traces of verdigris. With some traces of dirt especially to the hallows of the flower mounts.
Cupboard 2 :
There is three vertical shrinkage cracks to the lower part of the both doors (approx. 79 cm., 46 cm. and 19 cm.)
There is few long vertical shrinkage cracks to each sides (max. approx. 133 cm.).
Veneer : There is a loss to the right corner. There are few lifting and losses to the veneer especially to the middle part of the left door, and to the right corner with minor losses. There is a loss to the left side. There are some minor restoration with 'gomme laque' paste filling.
Ormolu : with some signs of tarnishing especially to the flower mount. There are some traces of verdigris. With some traces of dirt especially to the hallows of the flower mounts.
