There are the inevitable minor dents, marks, scratches, shrinkage cracks and rubbing consistent with age and use.
Gilding : As stated in the catalogue there are losses to the gilding revealing the red bole, the white gesso and the bare wood underneath, especially to the edges. Losses more visible to the exposed areas, as the central parts and the uprights of both consoles.
Marble : With some chips, scratches and losses especially to the back edges.
One carved element is missing to the central part of the stretcher of one console.
Marble tops :
There are some losses and chips to the edges of the both tops.
There is a break to the right back corner of one top.
