The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

This tapestry is in country house condition and has undergone previous restorations.
With the inevitable wear, nicks and discolouration consistent with and use.
Some fading to the colours in general and to the lighter wools and silks in particular.
There is a vertical cut through the centre left of the tapestry, possibly from folding or from previous separation due to hanging arrangement.
Some areas of reweaving throughout, particularly to the lighter silks.
There are some extensive stitched repairs for stabilisation of the tapestry.
The top edge of the bottom inner slip with some repairs and subsequent pleat to its right corner.
Some patched repairs throughout, in particular lower border, including to the lower hem of the lower figure in the left border and along the bottom border.
There is some residual dirt to the tapestry throughout.
