The shaped top with scrolling foliate mounts and surmounted by a shell crest, the bombé trunk with leaf and mask mount beneath cast laurel leaf frame to glazed lenticle with later glazed paper dial, the cartouche below the dial and movement signed 'ANDRE FURET A PARIS', the weight driven going train with Chevalier de Béthune type escapement, the striking train with mainspring and barrel with countwheel and bell
