The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
In overall good condition.
There are the inevitable dents, marks and chips consistent with age and use.
Chair A: The later screwed corner blocks to the underside have been replaced.
With two later seat rails in oak.
Chair B: With a repaired break to the tops of both arms and also to the base of the right arm.
Some more significant staining to the fabric of the seat. But the upholstery to both chairs is in good condition overall
Both back uprights to one chair with repaired breaks (metal rods screwed to insides of uprights) and repairs/ reinforcement to back arm joints, some new timber scarfed in to consolidate broken/rotten parts.
Both chairs with traces of historic, apparently inactive woodworm throughout.
Both chairs with two replaced rails and repairs to the top of the arm uprights.
