In fair country house condition.
There are the inevitable scratches, marks and shrinkage cracks consistent with age and use.
The upholstery with some small tears and fraying throughout.
Larger tear to the front of the seat.
Some restoration to the needlework.
Small areas of reweaving to the needlework.
Losses to the gilding throughout, with the timber visible to the extremities.
Oil gilding apparently original.
Evidence of woodworm, now inactive.
The underside with later corner brackets.
Some larger shrinkage cracks where the legs meet the seat-rails- subsequent nails for stabilisation.
The webbing is loose and broken.
The seat requires stabilisation and rewebbing.
