The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Overall with nicks, marks and scratches consistent with age and use.
The apparently later leather top with some long areas of scratching and circular imprints. Slight warp to top.
The giltwood with some scattered chips and rubbing to gilt surfaces revealing gesso, bole and bare wood in areas as to be expected with age. Gilding has been refreshed.
The veneers with scattered minor shrinkage cracks, losses and restoration.
The drawers with some ink stains to the interior; one drawer sticks slightly, another with some sun fading.
Although the mortice holes extend beyond the periphery of the column, there is no indication that the top and base are associated.
The locks associated and stamped PATENT beneath a 'P' within a cartouche.
