The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
Good condition overall. The silver base had been cut to create an opening for the metal shaft on the stone base. Some wear to the silver as consistent with age.
The silver base by Karl Armfeldt, which was present when the lot was sold at Sotheby's in 1997, is missing.
