The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

In good overall condition.
There are the inevitable minor nicks, marks and scratches consistent with age and use.
As stated in the catalogue, the mirror incorporates some early 18th century elements, such as the scrolling elements to the cresting, the and pierced figural mounts to the corners, but adapted to its current shape probably int he 20th century.
The central mask to cresting is later (probably 20th century); with some casting flaws and verdigris.
The ormolu with some minor losses, such as a small loss to the foliage at the bottom of left side of cresting.
With later mirror plates. Some minor silvering and foxing. There is a small crack to the mirror plate behind the scroll to cresting.
The backboards with traces of old woodworm.
Highly decorative, structurally stable and ready to hang.
