Marks clear; engraving clear to worn. Some light surface scratching consistent with age and use. One dessert fork's tine worn. The table spoons, all by George Angell: four dated 1840, not engraved; two dated 1842, not engraved; five dated 1853, engraved with a crest (one with differing crest and motto). The table forks: fourteen by George Angell, dated 1853 with the same crest; six by Mary Chawner, dated 1838 with a crest; The dessert spoons: all by George Angell, 1853, engraved with the same crest. The dessert forks: six by HenryJohn Lias and Henry John Lias, London, 1875, all engraved with initial L; three by Henry Holland, 1847, engraved with a crest. The teaspoons: six by George Angell, 1864; nine by Henry John Lias and Henry John Lias, London, 1875, all engraved with initial L. The coffee spoons: two by John Round and Son Limited, Sheffield, 1904, engraved with the badge of Liverpool Riffles club; one silver-plated by Elkington. The mustard spoons: by George Angell, 1865, engraved with a crest. The pair of serving spoons: by George Angell, 1865, engraved with a crest. The larger serving spoon: by William Robert Sobey, Exeter, 1848, engraved with initial IL on one side and a small G on the other. The pair of sugar tongs: by Harry Emanuel, London, 1859.
