Lot Essay

The yellow-scale ground, derived from Meissen, was only produced at the Worcester factory for a short period and very few services were made. A teacup and saucer from the Crane Collection was sold by Bonhams, London, 31 March 2010, lot 262. Another is illustrated by John Sandon and Simon Spero, Worcester Porcelain, 1751-1790, The Zorensky Collection, Woodbridge, 1996, p. 229, no. 267.
