The dial with silvered chapter ring with Roman hours and Arabic minutes, signed 'ANDRIES OLISLAGER ROTTERDAM', with apertures for days of the month, days of the week and phases of the moon and subsidiary silvered chapter ring with seconds, within a painted surround above an aperture with automaton of bobbing ships in front of a painted riverscape backdrop, the hood with blind fretwork backed in a sage green silk surmounted by blue-painted and giltwood finials of Atlas and two trumpeting figures of fame, body carved with laurel garlands and spiraling ribbons, bombé base raised on claw-and-ball feet, the twin train movement with anchor escapement and rack striking on two bells
