Overall in stable, decorative condition and ready to place. The dining table with typical scattered light nicks, faint marks, surface scuffs and scratches. With fine cracking to the veneer in areas, some lifting, flaking and with some small losses. Some areas of the veneer with patch repairs. With lifting along each end and on one end with some patch repairs primarily to the underside of the tabletop, not readily visible. With some stress cracks to the stretcher where it crosses over, as expected with age and use, and subsequent minor repairs. With some further nicks to the edges of the dining table consistent with use. With two leaves, the color well matched between with the table and present well when assembled fully. The underside of the table stamped with number 8675 and 'CIA NACIONALE DE MUEBLES / DESCOTTE / 853 - AVENIDA DE MAYO - 853 / BUENOS AIRES / CASA EN PARIS / 13 D. HAUSSMANN 34'. With further hand written inscription. The chairs with scattered nicks, marks, scuffs and scratches. With variation in color of the velvet, with some staining and surface wear. Some of the chair legs with repaired breaks. The veneers lifting in some areas, with flaking, losses and some patch repairs. The caning to the chairbacks possibly replaced and with some minor breaks, consistent with use. One of the back left legs with a repaired break. Another chair lacking the front left collar mount. With some rubbing to the gilt-metal sabots, as to be expected. Presents well overall.
