The ecuelle circular with flat handles cast with scrolls, acanthus, and tassels flanking a cartouche, the domed cover engraved with sweeping lobes and foliage and with leafy artichoke-form finial, the stand shaped rectangular with reeded rim, engraved with a border of Vitruvian scroll, marked to either side of ecuelle handle and underside of stand with maker's mark and Minerva head mark, both further engraved on the underside 'Puiforcat Paris', the cover, finial, and screw with Minerva head mark only
