Condition report
A Christie's specialist may contact you to discuss this lot or to notify you if the condition changes prior to the sale.
The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
In good order and appearance, structurally sound and ready to use. With pocket screw-holes to underside indicating it was formerly with a wooden top. The later granite top with scattered very minor surface scratches and marks as to be expected with age and use, and with the typical minor chips and nibbles to the edges. With a few old well-disguised repairs to the feet. Proper left back ear is an old replacement. Small corner lacking to molding beneath top on proper left front edge. Some shrinkage and separation to joins, noticeable along the frieze. Overall handsome form.
