The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The top with some minor chips and abrasions including 'nibbling'. The front and side panels with the carved giltwood relief decoration probably late 18th century and originally possibly parts of a mirror or wall paneling. The legs possibly late 18th century. The inner panels, the back and the bottom, among other elements, are of modern construction. The jardinière overall with some scattered age and construction cracks consistent with age and use. Scattered old inactive worm damage. The carving with some small chips, losses and abrasions. Decoration refreshed throughout and now with some losses, surface dirt and abrasions. Some small chips, cracks and flaking to gesso. In good overall condition, ready to place.
