The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Overall with scattered age and construction cracks as expected. Evidence of old insect damage to the carcass, now inactive. The veneers around the edge of the top are likely to be original and the border mount corner clasps and escutcheons, scrolling mounts flanking the drawers (exempting 1 on the faux-drawer side and one on the front), are apparently original. The chutes and sabots are replaced. Original veneers have been re-finished and the re-veneered areas now with scattered minor areas of gapping, loss and infill. The marquetry with scattered areas of patching and infill.
The leather surface replaced and now with abrasions, losses and staining. The ormolu overall with rubbing, surface dirt, and areas of verdigris, mostly to the sabots. The model of impressive scale; would benefit from further restoration.
