The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The ormolu overall with some minor rubbing and oxidation, traces of surface dirt. Some unevenness to the edges and some minor casting flaws (not extensive and only visible on close inspection). The marble with some minor chips, abrasions and 'nibbling' to edges consistent with age and use. One lid with a small crack approx. 1 in. long with some associated chips. The other lid slightly variant in color and size (more domed).
