The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The mirror with some age and construction cracks as expected. There are some restored, small breaks and losses to the top of the pediment. Some further losses and some restored cracks to the rest of the frame. The carving generally well preserved in the reserves, with some minor losses and abrasions consistent with age and use. Scattered old worm damage, but generally not affecting the delicate carving in the reserves. The decoration refreshed throughout, now with some losses, chips, abrasions as expected. The mirror plate replaced. The top of the mirror on the reverse with plaster residue from previous installation. The inset marble top of the base in generally good condition with some marks. The fireplace surround in good overall shape, well executed to match the mirror. Ready to place.
