The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
Presenting well overall with some minor imperfections, in the making, including firing cracks to the undersides; scattered minor scratches, rubbing and wear to the surfaces, consistent with age and handling, most prominently to the black biscuit-painting at the hair; each of the bodies restored around the socket at its neck, the shoulder opposite the vase, the hands, the sleeve-cuffs, toes and the necks of the vase; each with a small glaze flake to her belly; one head with restoration to its neck and its flat top-knot; the other head seemingly a very well-executed restored replacement.
