The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The porcelain presenting well overall; a few minor intrinsic flaws, in the making, including some minor firing cracks and small dark spots at the interiors. Some light scratches and wear throughout, consistent with age and handling; each vase with some restoration and touch-up, mainly around where the tops of the socles and bases of the bodies meet, none apparently affecting the painted scenes, a long section of regilding around one of the socle feet, stretching from beneath the lower right of the reserve painted with two torches, to beneath the lower left of the reserve with an arrow through a heart.

The ormolu mounts presenting well; they previously included four cast scrolling flower-sprays, each held in place by a screw at the top between the bifurcated handles; two of these are broken off and missing, a third is broken off but present, and the fourth is present and intact, but has been removed. Otherwise with some patina, scratches and wear throughout, consistent with age and handling. Each bezel slightly deformed from the shape of the vase rim, resting stably but not perfectly flush with the upper edge of the body.
