The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Each not examined out of frame; the canvas supported on the reverse with an old glue lining; each with surface soiling and frame abrasion; the varnish has yellowed with age as expected; one with areas of lifting, small losses and associated cracks to the paint, concentrated at the center upper and lower edges; the other with lifting, losses and craquelure to the lower left quadrant; each examined under ultraviolet light, each canvas presents with a milky green varnish, and with areas of touch-ups, strengthening and restoration.
