The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Some minor age and construction cracks consistent with age and use. Some minor, old inactive worm damage to the underside (not extensive). Some very minor repairs to the frames. Overall with some rubbing, abrasions and losses to the gesso, revealing bole and bare wood in areas. Gilding and painted decoration with some rubbing, losses, surface dirt and refreshed areas throughout. The upholstery with some use wear including rubbing, losses and minor staining.
