The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Scattered age and construction cracks throughout. Old scattered inactive woodworm throughout, resulting in losses to wood in areas. All chairs with modern railings, some elements older than others. Differences in carving throughout. Decoration with losses, chips, abrasions and surface dirt, including the gilding, which is worn and revealing bole in areas. Some of the chairs are not structurally sound; recommend reinforcement. Upholstery is of lovely quality and in good condition. Grand design and scale.
