The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
In stable, decorative condition and ready to place. Overall, assembled from various elements, including the bowls, frame, and figure platform. The lacquer bowls appear to be of a later date. The supports to the underside of the frame appear to be 18th century and reused. The lids and mounts on the vessels associated. The ormolu with the expected light rubbing, surface wear and with some inherent casting flaws. The lacquer with crazing throughout, consistent with age. The porcelain with scattered nicks and 'nibbles,' particularly to edges and to the flowers. Some flowers with restorations, others lacking. Under short wave UV it would appear only one or two flowers are of soft paste porcelain, the balance are hard paste.
