The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Overall with minor nicks, marks and light scratches consistent with age and use. With scattered small chips, losses, rubbing and wear to the decoration, which has been restored. With some losses to carving, as to be expected, for example to the reverse of the right drawer. With touch ups to the decoration, most notably to the gilt-border on the top. The inset leather top later. The ormolu with some minor surface scratches, light rubbing and tarnish, and casting flaws, as to be expected. The drawers with some later reinforcements and the interiors with glue.
