On spreading foot chased with stylised foliate border, the pear shaped glass body with loop handle, the slightly domed cover with fluted band, the centre engraved with a drinking scene and inscription 'MENSCH BETENK DES ENDE', with fluted ball thumbpiece and foliate handle mount, marked underneath foot and on cover
61⁄2 in. (16.5 cm.) high
The inscription translates as 'People pray for the end'.
