The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Oil on parchment laid down on copper. The varnish has discoloured and there is light surface dirt. On closer inspection there are patches of craquelure e.g. the clouds, the green tones of the trees and the blue dress with some associated losses. There is some lifting to the corners in particular to the upper right corner. There are some minor losses to the edges, probably associated with frame abrasions. Examined out of the frame. Not examined under UV light.
