The relief ribs on the lower part are typical of South German ruby-glass and are modelled after the vessel has been blown by dipping the body into hot glass and then pressing it into a mould to form the ribs.
For an almost identical casting bottle also by Elias Adam, 1690-1700 see the Art Institute Chicago, item 1927.1253; for another similar flask with mark of Martin Breuer, 1705-1709 see T. Schroder, Renaissance and Baroque, Silver, Mounted Porcelain and Ruby Glass from the Zilkha Collection, London, 2012, p. 326-327, no. 95.
