The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The sculptural lamp presents very well overall.
The stone with natural inclusions, as to be expected. There are a few hairline cracks, such as to the urn, wagon wheels and to the putti's limbs.
There are some traces of dust and dirt to the crevices and light surface marks and staining, which could benefit from a gentle cleaning. The central urn with small traces of a white paint. The putto to the front left side with some surfaces marks small areas of paint residue to his proper right arm. The putto standing on the wagon with a restored break to her proper left arm and to the top of the garland she is suspending. The back left corner with a narrow restored break to the integral base. The floral removable cover with a very well restored break, which is only visible from the underside.
With some small chips to the edges, and a few minor areas of associated infill, only visible upon close examination.
The polychromy with some fading and rubbing to the high points, creating a softness in tone.
Please note that electrical components have not been tested, and should be examined by a qualified electrician prior to any intended use.
