This buttercup takes after the ones made by Fabergé from 1900 in small number but which proved very popular. The Royal Collection includes such flower study (RCIN 100011; illustrated, C. de Guitaut, Royal Fabergé, 2011, p. 122-123) purchased by Queen Elizabeth II in 1947.
