The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Presents well overall.
The back of the head with a restored break with associated infill.
A hairline crack running across the hair to the base of the neck.
A small chip to the bottom lip, and some further very minor chips to the high points of the carving throughout.
Some traces of old plaster used to fix the relief to the base, particularly evident to the underside of the chin and the proper left shoulder.
The rouge griotte marble ground with a restored break to the right hand side, with some associated chips and losses, and some further minor flat chips throughout.
The frame with some knocks, marks and scratches consistent with age and use, and some rubbing and tarnish to the gilding.
