The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The pile has light overall wear with occasional spots remaining a little lower revealing touches of the foundation beneath. These areas are not overly thin or unstable. The colours are wonderfully rich and well saturated. The structure has a brown wool weft and a natural cotton warp. The carpet has been backed with material which has been stitched on for stability.
