Dottore Boloardo and Columbine (?) on the beaker illustrated on the left are derived from Jeaurat's engraving 'Pierrot Content' after Watteau (see p. 67), and Scaramouche and Columbine on the other beaker are derived from le Bas's engraving 'La Game d'Amour' or 'Amoris Diagramma Musicum' after Watteau (see p. 67). Cup and saucer to the left of the catalogue photograph - the cup with crack running through the base of the handle just above where it joins to the body, with a minute area of loss to gilding along the break, and firing crack to the upper terminal of the handle. Two small areas of rubbing to gilding on same handle. Some slight wear to gilding around upper rim and footrim. The saucer with flat half-moon shaped flat to underside of rim at 4 o'clock (approximately 0.7cm. long and 0.3cm. across), showing as a small indentation to the rim from the front. Slight wear to gilding around rim. Cup and saucer to the right of the catalogue photograph - the cup with some wear to gilding around upper rim and some minute wear to gilding on handle. The saucer with several small nicks to footrim, some glazed and probably part of manufacture. Very slight wear to gilding of trelliswork support in centre.
