The overall condition of this elegant pair of fauteuils 'a la Regence' is good.
The gilding with various chips, small losses, and rubbing to the angles revealling the red hue of the bole beneath (as visible in the photographs). The tapestry upholstery has attractively faded and is overall well preserved, there are minor areas of wear and pulling (notably to the seat backs) and localised minor restitching. The seats are well sprung. The reverse of the backs is covered in a brown check cotton. Structurally firm and sound.
