Lot Essay

These monumental vases, electrified as lamps lit from the inside, are made from sparkling glass beads and faceted glass prisms and relate to urn shaped vases made in the same technique, examples of which have sold from the collection of Dodie Rosekrans, Sotheby's, New York, 8 December 2011, lot 401 ($152,500) and at Christie's, London, 6 March 2014, lot 94 (£98,500).
