The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

In good overall condition.
There are the inevitable minor nicks, marks and scratches consistent with age and use.
The gilding slighly rubbed, flaked and tarnished overall, revealing red bole white gesoso and exposed timber in localised areas.
One of the side chairs with substantial flaked losses to the gilding to the chair back and seat, revealing white gesso underlayer.
Some typical separation at construction joins.
The caning to the seats of two of the fauteuils and three of the side chairs has loosened and broken and is in need of replacement.
With traces of old woodworm, now apparently inactive.
The red velvet squab cushions with some minor stains and wear but in perfectly serviceable, smart order.
Highly decorative, structurally stable and ready to place.
