The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The largest dish, with knight wearing a ruff collar: There are about six flat narrow chips to the underside edge of the rim, each circa 2 cm long, which are not visible when the dish is viewed from the front. There is a 3 cm hairline crack to the rim at 5 o'clock. Four small patches of flaking to the glaze on the front of the plate (one in sky, one near his right hand, one near the horse's foreleg and one on the horses haunches). Typical flaking to rim. Scattered chips around the footrim with traces of some retouching.
The slightly smaller dish, with knight wearing a black hat: There are three flat narrow chips to the underside edge of the rim, each circa 2.5 cm long, which are not visible when the dish is viewed from the front. Two 4 cm flat chips to the underside of the foot at the rim and further smaller flat chip to footrim, c. 3 cm. Some small patches of glaze flaking to the rim and three further patches of flaking to the front of the dish, two near the horse's head and one on his haunches. Some retouching to edge of scene around the rim and two centre. With paper collection label for A. Vecht, Amsterdam.
Overall both with typical minor flaking and glaze crazing but of good decorative appearance.
