The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Provisional condition report :
Good overall condition.
There are the inevitable minor dents, marks, scratches and shrinkage cracks consistent with age and use.
There are some traces of inactive woodworms.
There is a shrinkage crack to the middle of the left tablet with minor loss. (approx. 23 cm.)
There is a loss behind the left central column due to wood worms (approx. 6 cm.)
There are some 'gomme lacque' paste filling restorations.
There is a crack and losses inside the drawer especially to the right side.
There is a loss to the carving of the right front corner of the base.
There is one large construction shrinkage crack running from the left side to the right side of the top.
With some black, white and water stains especially to the base.
