De style Troubadour, à décor émaillé dans le goût des émaux de Limoges de grotesques, masques et enroulements blanc et or sur fond noir rehaussés de diamants taille rose, le pommeau se dévissant pour révéler un compartiment et orné d'un monogramme AC et sur la bague du nom SOPHIE, l'ombrelle en soie et dentelle brodée au centre d'un mavelot AC sous couronne de marquis et terminée par un anneau de suspension décoré à l'identique du pommeau, apparemment sans poinçon

A 19TH CENTURY JEWELLED AND ENAMELLED GOLD-MOUNTED PARASOL, POSSIBLY FRENCH, CIRCA 1850
With tortoiseshell handle applied with jewelled and enamelled sections reminiscent of Limoges enamel featuring grotesques, and masks within scrolls on a black ground and adorned with jewelled frises, the handle with hidden compartment and set on tip with a monogram AC and around the collar with the name SOPHIE, the silk and lace parasol with monogram AC beneath a marquess coronet, with suspension ring similarly enamelled, apparently unmarked
