The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Good overall condition
There are the inevitable minor dents, marks, scratches, shrinkage cracks and rubbing consistent with age and use.
On both encoignure the veneer inside the door is probably later.
As stated in the catalogue all the mounts are associated.
Encoignure 1:
Mahogany: There is a vertical shrinkage crack to the left upright (approx. 54 cm.). There are some minor losses and lifting especially to the lower rail.
The lock is slightly damaged with traces of restoration with glue.
Gilding: very slightly rubbed.
Encoignure 2:
Mahogany: There is a horizontal shrinkage crack to the front panel (approx. 26 cm.).
There is a minor vertical shrinkage crack to the left upright (approx. 12 cm.)
There are minor losses, lifting and cracks to the lower central rail.
There are some traces of water stains especially to the lower part.
There is a minor loss to the left back upright.
Gilding: very slightly rubbed.
The lock is slightly loose.
Marble : There are inevitable chips to the edges. There are some scratches and scuff marks as expected. The front corner of one marble has been restored. There are some very minor yellow marks.
