SUITE DE QUATRE FAUTEUILS À LA REINE D'ÉPOQUE LOUIS XV
ESTAMPILLE DE JEAN-BAPTISTE II TILLIARD, MILIEU DU XVIIIe SIECLE

Condition report
A Christie's specialist may contact you to discuss this lot or to notify you if the condition changes prior to the sale.
The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The website illustrations are accurate. Structurally secure. There are the inevitable minor dents, marks, scratches and rubbing consistent with age and use. There are some restorations, especially several traces of apparently inactive woodworms now refilled with 'gomme-laque' paste. As stated in the catalogue, the armchairs are stripped and formerly decorated. As stated in the catalogue, there are some minor losses to the carvings especially to both front feet of one armchair. As stated in the catalogue, two of them are stamped 'TILLIARD' on the back rail. Upholstery: there are the inevitable minor wear. With some minor brown stains especially to the seats.
