Oval, the polished brown, orange and grey crazy lace agate with plain gold hinged mount and drapery thumbpiece engraved 'From W McD', in red leather case
A handwritten note indicates that this snuff-box was given by W. Macdonald esq. to his mother, who gave it to her daughter-in-law Mrs. W. Macdonald, who later gave it to Captain Petrie.
