The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

In overall good condition, with the inevitable surface scratches and marks consistent with age and use.
There are some repairs to the brass mounts, notably to the the cresting on either side, and to various parts of the external border.
There is a later ormolu mount to the central middle.
Some scuffs and few minor cracks to the ebonised wood.
The mirror-plates probably replaced in the 19th century.
The back re-backed at a later date.
