The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Overall in good decorative order with some rubbing and wear to the gilding and enamels throughout as to be expected with age. Some small scattered chips and areas of restoration throughout.

The example with the scene of the Christ being crowned: Some small firing cracks to the interior of the nozzle. The second section with restoration to top and bottom hexagonal sections. These have been sprayed to conceal the damage with some associated overpainting and re-gilding. The third section with two small firing cracks, and restoration to the bottom hexagonal section, which has been sprayed to conceal the damage. The bottom section with one foot broken through and restored, and restoration to the tips of two acanthus leaves at corners, and to the top section with the shell motifs, all of which has been sprayed to conceal the damage. There are three hairline cracks, one on each side running from the lower scroll-moulded part, up through the base and through each painted scene, with some associated overpainting (well executed) to each painted scene. There is associated overpainting to one scroll corner section and to the frame around two painted scenes. There are some further small firing cracks to this section, though these have been present since the time of manufacture. The restoration of this base section is most likely concealing three major cracks or breaks.

The example with the scene of the Crucifixion: The top section with a rim chip and some associated overpainting to each side, and some small firing cracks. The second section broken through and restored through the narrowest part with associated overpainting and re-gilding and with restoration to lower hexagonal part and extensive chipping to one half of this section. The third section with a small firing crack to the bottom. The bottom section with restoration to the tip of one acanthus leaf, the scroll beside one acanthus leaf, and one acanthus leaf with a small restored chip to the lower part. A small re-gilt chip to one foot. Some small firing cracks to this section, though these have been present since the time of manufacture. Traces of old restoration to disguise one of these firing cracks to one foot.
